Birgu is the oldest of the three cities that include Senglea & Cospicua and is a beautiful and peaceful town in the South of Malta, which also boasts a rich and vibrant history. Situated on the south side of Grand Harbour, this old fortified city is also known as Citta Vittoriosa as a reminder of Malta's successfully defending the city against the Ottoman siege in the 16th century.
