On a small hilltop overlooking the new Malta International Airport terminal, lies the old village of il-Gudja. Rich in tradition and folklore, Gudja has retained the essential characteristics of a quiet Maltese village. Its narrow streets are adorned with houses of character; its parish church, the only one in Malta with three church belfries; the four chapels two of which are situated in its green surrounding countryside, and the yearly ‘fiestas’ make il-Gudja a place worth visiting.
