Agent Nick takes us behind the scenes of a very special Townhouse in Valletta with unobstructed Sliema Creek sea views.
Sometimes a home can inspire you to follow new passions. That’s what happened to this Italian family when they made this property their home.
Now it’s time to move on and pass this beautiful property onto someone else. But before they go, we thought we’d talk to them about what it’s like to live in this property, what they loved best about it, and what they will miss the most.
Our question to the family was: Can you describe how you felt when you first moved into your new home?
Both were overwhelmed and excited by the project but I was in love with the property from the first time I saw it and knew that I would be very happy here.
What’s your favourite room and why?
I love the first-floor sitting room with the typical Maltese balcony. I spend lots of time here by the fireplace, dreaming and working on my design experiments. As an avid reader, I also love the wooden library. It’s a very special room and has a lovely view of the sea and Manoel Island.
Any other favoured features?
The roof terrace is another of my favourite spots! The perfect place to enjoy the Maltese sunshine and entertain guests or just sit and watch the boats coming in and out of port.
Please tell us about living in Valletta.
It’s a perfect little hamlet, full of historic buildings, home to some of Malta's best restaurants, but still with a lot of peaceful pockets and gardens to enjoy.
What will you miss about living here and why?
The peace and quiet of looking out onto the view, its priceless, and the convenience of being in the capital city. I have learned so much about the locals here.
