Apartment, Xemxija

Xemxija meaning sunny, is the gateway to the sandy beaches in the northern part of the islands such as Mellieha bay and Golden Bay. Xemxija is a very quiet area which is surrounded by the countryside and some of the most fertile valleys on the islands. You will also see some picturesque fishing boats that lie in the small harbour. Nightlife, main shopping, bars, and restaurants are within walking distance. Xemxija is the smallest resort in Malta and has some lovely lidos nearby. Xemxija is rather a newly built-up area with most apartment blocks dating back to 1980, however this area was also home to settlements since prehistoric times. The area includes some of the oldest persevered burial sites on the islands.
